Replace store bought envelopes with this homemade taco seasoning mix and eliminate the mystery ingredients, anti-caking agents, and preservatives.

Replace store bought envelopes with this homemade taco seasoning mix and eliminate the mystery ingredients, anti-caking agents, and preservatives.

Add all ingredients to a small jar with tight fitting lid. Shake to blend. Seal, label, and store in a in a cool, dark place, away from heat and direct sun. Makes about 1/2 cup. Use about 2 1/2 Tablespoons of mix to replace a package of purchased taco seasoning mix.

  1. Hi just read your recipe and it sounds great.
    I’m wondering when making tacos do you add about 3/4 cups a cup of water after you’ve
    seasoned the meat- as you would do with a packaged mix?
    Or – will water dilute flavor? Thanks

  2. Yum. Always amazed why people buy prepackaged or even bottled seasoning when the spice section in the bulk aisle sells the ingredients for pennies and it takes like 3 minutes to make it!
